My name is Alexandra Ferguson and I am a Senior Management Information Systems Major at Texas A&M University. I recently started my internship at JBKnowledge, Inc. as a Network Services Intern under the direction of our Network Services Director, Mike Bentley.

After working with two prominent companies in the technology industry, Google and Apple, transitioning to JBKnowledge was a smooth process due to their analogous work environments and passion to be on the forefront of today’s most innovative technologies.

Similarly to Google, our office is electronically based and we strive to use technological resources whenever possible as a part of the green computing movement. All of our files are accessible through a cloud storage and synchronization service, Google Drive, and I have not seen the one printer in our office be used since I’ve gotten here.

A few weeks ago, we hosted a reception and networking event at our JBKnowledge headquarters in Downtown Bryan, Texas. We invited some of the top construction business professionals from around the state, and beyond, to give them a first-hand look at how virtual and immersive augmented reality will soon be a major player in the construction industry. JBKnowledge is the first to enter this market sector with this type of advanced technology as shown through our product, SmartReality for Oculus Rift, using a Leap Motion sensor.

I look forward to contributing to a company that is consistently experiencing rapid growth and mirror that advancement in my personal career development. Continue to check out this site to be updated on the newest happenings with JBKnowledge!
